The end-of-summer reset. The juice that started it. And the ritual it turned into.
In my early thirties, after my twins were born, I was in peak inflammation. A twin pregnancy is a hectic one. Mine was my last, and it did wild things to my body. Hormones surging in and out for months on end. Reacting to everything. Everything puffing up. CEAN is, honestly, the result of me finding my way back to a new normal. Feeling at home in my body and mind again. This juice was one of the first things that helped.
An amazing naturopath in Sydney passed me a recipe. He is the kind of practitioner who just knows. He said, trust me. Naturally, I went straight to our local juice bar and ordered it exactly as written.
It worked.
It has been my go-to ever since. When I land in LA. On a Bondi walk. When a friend is having one of those weeks. I ordered it by the case for our Goop Brentwood activation and handed it to everyone who came through. The requests for the recipe have not stopped.

So here it is...
YOUR ORDER.
At a juice bar, ask for parsley, lemon, celery, pineapple, mint and apple, cold-pressed. That is the order. Every juice bar worth its salt will nod and know exactly what you mean. Every ingredient earns its place. You can easily make this at home too.
Parsley is doing the heaviest work. It flushes the water the body has been holding, often for reasons hormonal, seasonal, sensitivities. Lemon wakes everything up. Loudly. Celery replaces the electrolytes. Pineapple breaks down the bloat, enzymatically. A quiet hero. Mint energizes the whole affair. Apple makes it true chic and so much sweeter.
WHEN TO DRINK IT.
First thing, on an empty stomach. Before coffee. Before anything else. This is when the body is at its most responsive to a flush. Some women feel the difference within the hour. Others by the afternoon.
A FEW NOTES.
Ask for organic parsley if you can. It is the ingredient doing the most work and worth the extra dollar. Add a knob of ginger if you like a kick or want anti-inflammatory support turned up. Skip the apple if you avoid sugar in the morning, but know it is what makes it drinkable rather than punishing. If your juice bar offers cucumber, add a stick for hydration. Do not accept a version made with orange juice as the base. It defeats the whole exercise.
MEET THE OUTSIDE JOB.
The juice handles the reset from the inside. CEAN handles it from the outside. Plants, both ways. CEAN is plant-based graduated compression. The patented rising zig-zag mapped along the lymphatic pathways. Made from sustainably grown beech trees.
WHEN TO REACH FOR BOTH.
The morning after. A heatwave. A long-haul. Any moment the body is asking for a reset.
Pour the juice. Put CEAN on. That is the ritual. Pass it on to the women who need it, the way it was passed to me.
Lauren, founder of CEAN.
